Christophe Robert Wesley Thompson was born in 1976 in Nassau, Bahamas. After studying painting and liberal arts at The College of the Bahamas in Nassau, he studied metals at Savannah College of Art and Design and received a BFA In sculpture from Alfred University, where he studied materials, and an MFA in Glass from the Rhode Island School of Design.
He has collaborated research with historians and archives including John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Library, Brown University, Tulane University historical department, the National Archives of The Bahamas. The monastery of The Capuchin, Church of San Donnino, Pisa, Italy.
Christophe's research-based practice investigates the idea of narratives, the lines that connect histories, both fictitious and non fiction, and the supposed arcane archeology of humans. He lives and works in New York and The Bahamas.
